Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate Steel is used to make a variety of products from sheets to plates. However, their qualities vary depending upon the additional elements added to them. Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate is one such type of plate that is made up of high carbon alloy. It is formable due to the added alloy and hardened due to the high content of carbon. Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate has reduced strength and enhanced hardness and toughness due to the addition of carbon. They are used in applications that work in high wear and tear and abrasion prone environments that are the main cause of failure. Wear Resistant Steel Plate are not advisable to be used in construction applications such as bridges, and support beams in the buildings.
Ar Steel Plate is commonly used in buckets, dump liners, conveyors, construction attachments, ballistic plates, and body armor. The abrasion resistant material is created by the tempering and quenching process. This process makes the Wear Resistant Plate less brittle and modifies the grain structure to enhance toughness. Quenching of these plates takes place when the steel is heated to a high temperature and then rapidly cooled by dipping it into water. Whereas, tempering of these Abrasion Resistant Plate takes place by reheating the quenched plate and allowing it to cool at normal temperature. This disintegrates the crystal structure formed during quenching.
Abrasion Resistant Stainless Steel Plate are used in plants, construction work, and machinery due to the enhanced life span. A low brine hardness provides cold bending properties and excellent weldability. Whereas a high brine hardness in abrasion resistance plate makes it useful in applications that are prone to wear and tear. Ar Plate Suppliers do not recommend the use of these plates in temperatures over 250 degrees C. Furthermore, these plates are also used in applications such as mining, quarrying, and earthmoving.
The maximum service temperature of these Abrasion Resistant Wear Plates can reach 80 percent of their melting point. These plates can at times be coated with corrosion resistance sheets. Quard steel plates are widely used in crushers, cutter edges, excavators, hoppers, chutes, and feeders.
