To maintain accurate dimensions and good flatness Ramor 400 Plate goes through a direct quenching process. This process makes the plates strong and hard. However, the 400 series display average Brinell hardness. Ramor 500 Plates display a good balance between weight and workability and weight. Protection 500 Armour Steel Plate display high tolerance in thin to medium thickness plates. On the other hand, ceramic armor is light but restricts mobility. Also, another drawback of these ceramic Armox Plates is that they crack if they are thrown in a bag. 

 

Dynamic Armor 600 Ballistic Steel Plate are available in the thickness of 3/16 inches to ⅝ inches. If the original hardness of the plate is to be maintained then post weld heat treatment is not recommended. Armour Steel Sheet can also use conventional welding techniques. However care needs to be taken that the interpass temperature does not increase more than 400 degrees C. Mil-a-46100 Armor Plate is used in tactical combat vehicles, personal armored cars, turned gunner shields, bulletproof vests, and tanks.
