API is an American standard that defines the grade by the properties possessed by the material used in it. Api 2w Grade 50 Plate is one such type of plate that is made using API 2w grade. It has a low sulfur phosphorus content. It helps in significantly reducing the imperfections in the steel. It also reduces the strength of the rolling stand that compresses the Api 2w Gr 50 Plate with a force of 11,000 tons. Thus giving it an exceptional microstructure. The length of these plates ranges between 6m to 12m and the thickness ranges between 10mm to 100mm.
Api 2w Grade 50 Offshore Steel Plate is designed to be used in offshore structures, that have to plastic fatigue load, resist impact, and lamellar tearing. This grade of plates is equivalent to minimum performance to API specification 2H steel grade. These API 2w Grade 50 Plate Equivalent are used in tubular joints, stiffened plate construction, and so on. It is often referred to as lower carbon content grade. This gives the material the ease of welding thus lowering the cost of production. Additionally, after welding these plates display good toughness in the heat affected area.
This makes it easier to produce Api 2w Grade 50 Tmcp Offshore Steel Plates and also improves the performance of the structure that is built. Since these plates are fabricated or manufactured using cold forming or welding. The use of the hot forming technique reduces the benefits associated with it. Api 2w Grade 50t Plate can be thermomechanically rolled which gives these plates extra strength and toughness.
